BREWERS QUAY - Hope Square

The award winning conversion of a magnificent Victorian brewery at the heart of Weymouth's Old Harbour.

Brewers Quay is idyllically situated at the heart of Weymouth's Old Harbour and towers high above the quaint fishing cottages of Hope Square. Imaginatively redeveloped following the closure of the brewery in 1985, yet still retaining the character and charm of its heritage, Brewers Quay now offers a superb array of attractions which can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages, all year round.

Amid the labyrinth of paved streets and courtyards, you'll find a host of activities to keep you and the family entertained for hours. Take a voyage into the past with the award-winning Timewalk and Brewery Days, or into the future with Discovery, our hands-on multi-media centre. For the more energetic visitor, there's the chance to enjoy a game of Bowling in the purpose built family alley, or the opportunity simply to relax in one of the cafes, restaurants or bars situated within the complex.

Take time out to visit our unique Shopping Village and Craft Centre, developed from the original alleys and cobbled yards of the old brewery, and enjoy a leisurely browse around more than 20 specialist shops and craft stalls, all under one roof. Freshly baked provisions in The Village Store, delicious handmade chocolates and fine glassware, together with goods from local crafts people and unusual imports from around the world, make Brewers Quay the ideal destination for finding that extra special gift or reminder of your visit.

Brewers Quay is your chance to experience a truly exciting and memorable day out, where the past, present and future have been skilfully fused to offer you the very best in entertainment and enjoyment.
Today the Weymouth and Portland Musuems record
these significant historical events, whilst the Deep Sea Adventure, Victorian Nothe Fort and Tudor House atttractions depict our local and maritime heritage.

Weymouth's fame as a seaside town goes back over 200 years to the times when King George III and the Royal family spent their holidays in the resort, making Weymouth "The First Resort".
